This policy explains what happens to your information when you use yotor.et. It covers this website only, not the our client applications or any other Yotor Technologies PLC product, which will carry their own notices when they launch.
Yotor Technologies PLC is the controller of the information described here. We are based at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
What we collect
We collect two things, and only two.
- What you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, the part of the group you selected, and your message. All of it is optional in the sense that you choose whether to contact us at all; name, email and message are required for the form to send.
- Standard server logs. Like any website, our hosting server records the IP address, browser type and time of requests it receives. These are generated by the hosting infrastructure, not by us, and we do not use them to build a profile of you.
What we do not collect
This site runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or any equivalent, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
The one thing we store in your browser is a `theme` value in local storage, which remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the site. It is a display preference, it never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Where your message goes
When you submit the contact form, your message is delivered by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) to our inbox at [email protected] so that enquiries reach our team. We do not store form submissions in a database of our own.
This means your message passes through FormSubmit's service, which may process it on servers outside Ethiopia under FormSubmit's own privacy policy. If you would rather not use that route, email us directly at [email protected] or call 0965920359 or 0912020814 instead of using the form.
Why we are allowed to use it
We process what you send us so that we can read your enquiry and reply to it. That is the only purpose. We do not use your details for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell, rent or share them with anyone for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our email inbox until they are deleted. We remove messages once a conversation has clearly ended and there is no commercial or legal reason to keep it, and in any case on request.
Server logs are retained by our hosting provider on their own schedule, typically a short rolling window.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond as promptly as we can.
There is no account to log into and nothing to unsubscribe from. If you have never contacted us, we hold nothing about you beyond ordinary server logs.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The form carries a hidden anti-spam field that automated submissions tend to fill in; where that happens the submission is discarded rather than delivered.
No transmission over the internet is completely secure. Please do not send confidential documents, identity numbers or payment details through the contact form.
Children
This is a business website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Links to other sites
The footer links to our LinkedIn page. Once you follow a link away from yotor.et you are on someone else's site, under their policies, and this one no longer applies.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles information (for example, if we ever add analytics), we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
